Good Food & Great Leadership: Celebrating Our Crew

June 25th marked the 2-year anniversary of the fire in our sawmill. Instead of bringing in an outside company to clean up after the fire, President Scott Cummings chose to keep as many of our own employees as possible to do the work together. 🪵💪

To mark the anniversary and show his appreciation for the team’s dedication, Scott provided a fantastic, free catered BBQ lunch from Stone Age BBQ! 🍗🔥

A huge shout-out to Doug Joseph from Stone Age BBQ, who did an absolutely amazing job with the food—and even used our very own Barefoot & BBQ pellets to cook it! 🪵💨

The crew is incredibly grateful for the delicious meal and Scott’s ongoing support. A massive thank you to Scott for always looking out for his employees, and to Doug for knocking the lunch out of the park!

Check out some of the highlights from lunch below! 👇📸

Happy 4th of July from Cummings Lumber!

Just a friendly reminder that our offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of Independence Day. We will be back in the office, bright and early, on Monday, July 6th.

This Fourth of July is incredibly special as our nation celebrates its 250th milestone anniversary. Milestones like this fill us with immense pride. We are deeply grateful to operate right here in the USA, sourcing local timber and manufacturing high-quality, American-made products every single day. Thank you for supporting American workers and local manufacturing!

As we celebrate 250 years of freedom, we also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and are currently serving in the military. Your dedication and sacrifice ensure the freedoms we celebrate today.

We wish everyone a safe, historic, and happy 4th of July filled with celebration and good times! 🎉✨

Celebrating 33 Years of Leadership: Honoring President Scott Cummings

At Cummings Lumber Company, our foundation is built on two things: top-tier quality and a deeply rooted family legacy. Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone for the man who keeps that tradition moving forward. Our President, Scott Cummings, is officially marking 33 years of dedication to the company!

As the founder’s great-grandson, Scott took the helm as President in 2014. For more than three decades, his vision has ensured that our four-generation commitment to providing customers with unmatched service and premier lumber products remains stronger than ever.

Resilience, Community, and Good BBQ

This month also brings us to the two-year anniversary of the 2024 mill fire. To honor how far the company has come since that challenging time, and to show his appreciation for the hard work of his team, Scott recently treated all employees to a spectacular, catered BBQ lunch. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Cummings Lumber family to gather, connect, and look toward a bright future.

A Heartfelt Thank You from the Employees

An organization is only as strong as its leadership, and on behalf of all the employees at Cummings Lumber, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Scott.

Thank you, Scott, for your steadfast guidance, your generosity, and your unique ability to lead us through both the good times and the bad. Your dedication not only preserves our family history but inspires all of us to keep delivering the quality our customers rely on.
